Housing for New Students
After submitting a tuition and housing deposit, all new residents will complete an online housing application through the Housing Portal.
You’ll receive a room assignment and roommate selection notification around July 15 for Fall admits and December 1 for Spring Admits. The steps below will help you access Housing Portal, submit your Housing & Food Services Application & Contract and match with a roommate.
Before accessing the Housing Portal or any other 黑料天堂 software system, you must first activate your network account.
- Activate your聽.
- In the upper right-hand corner, enter the Network Username and Password provided to you in the email from the 黑料天堂 Student Help Desk and click Log In.聽
- You will be prompted to change your password and set up challenge questions if you forget your network password.
- This setup must be completed prior to attempting to log into the Housing Portal for the first time. If you have any issues with the activation process, please reach out to the Student Help Desk: 412-847-2300 or聽studenthelpdesk@laroche.edu.
Log into The Housing Portal using your 黑料天堂 username and password. This information has been sent from the Student Help Desk to聽your personal email address on file.
If you do not have this email or have misplaced it, please contact the 黑料天堂 Student Help Desk at聽studenthelpdesk@laroche.edu.
Follow these steps to complete your required housing application and roommate request (if applicable).
- Visit the Housing Portal and enter your 黑料天堂 username and password.
- Select the Housing Forms tab on the left-hand side of the screen
- Complete the Housing & Food Services Contract & Application, Grad Guard Renters Insurance (optional).
If you are under the age of 18, a verification will be sent to the parent or legal guardian email address provided.聽This verification must be signed and approved by that parent or legal guardian for the application to be completed in the system.
You may request someone as a roommate if they are the same gender and the same classification as you (ex: first year student or upper-class student). This request is submitted online through the Housing Portal and can be made once both individuals have a completed housing application on file.
- Visit the Housing Portal and log in using your 黑料天堂 username and password.
- Select the Roommates & Rooms tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
- On the right-hand side of the screen underneath your name, click on the 鈥淯pdate Profile鈥� button and fill out as much information as you would like.
- On the right-hand side of the screen underneath your name, then click on the 鈥淨uestionnaire鈥� button and answer all the questions.
- You will now see potential roommate matches with a Match Score that gives you matches based on your information.
- You can chat with people through the Housing Portal if desired
- Click 鈥淩equest Roommate鈥� on your roommate match
- Keep in mind to be fully matched, both students need to match with each other.
Please remember that you both need a completed housing application to be searchable. You should confirm with the individual that they have completed their housing application.
